Silverford Renewables do not offer a wind measuring service - instead we rely on a third party company to supply, install and measure your site, which gives you the customer an independent, totally unbiased, evaluation of your potential wind turbine site.

Wind Mast Measuring Stations require a temporary planning application.
Always measure wind speeds at the potential wind turbine site.
What do i need?
The key to a successful wind station is to use the correct mast height, utilising calibrated/certified measuring equipment, with a third party data report at the end of measured period.
Simple DIY wind kits are not recommended.
2 X Wind Anemometers - to measure shear levels.
1 X Wind Vane - to measure wind direction.
1 X Pv Panel - to charge internal batteries.
1 X GSM Data Kit - to remotely send data.
1 X Data Report - independent third party report on site.
