Safety Features
The ACSA A27/A29 wind turbine is only turbine in its class which offers both pitch-regulated control of the blades, and twin hydraulic brakes . In normal stopping situations, only blade pitch regulation is activated, thus ensuring turbine stress is kept to a minimum. In full emergency stops the hydraulic brake is deployed, in conjunction with blade pitch regulation. Both safety systems can independently stop the turbine.
Dual Generators
The ACSA 225kw turbine is supplied with two asynchronous generators (50kw & 225kw),ensuring optimum power output at both low and high wind speeds.

Annual Generation
Typical A27 production examples are:
6.0 m/s - 400,000 kwhs
7.0 m/s - 570,000 kwhs
8.0 m/s - 730,000 kwhs
Note : Turbine generation is dependent on the wind resource, location, site turbulence and air density.
Warranty
The A27 turbine is supplied with a two year manufacturer's warranty (extendable to 5 year), covering faults and defects in design and materials. One manufacturer's service and inspection is provided free within the two year Warranty period.
